Allocate an order

If one or more pick order(s) of this order are part of a pick group, this action will have an effect on the pick group. See Pick groups.

An order which was automatically created to ship inputs to an external work center (order type EXTERNAL PRODUCTION) will automatically be allocated when allocating the released production order, or will be created allocated when the allocated production order is released. 1. Choose Outbound Management > Orders in the Navigation Pane.
2. Select the order in the status PLANNED.
3. Do one of the following:
   • Click Allocate Order in the toolbar.
   • Right-click the selection and choose Allocate Order in the shortcut menu.
4. Confirm in the dialog box Allocate Order.
5. A message that the order cannot be allocated may appear. Read the message carefully and click Cancel.
