Warehouse Management Engine

The Objective Warehouse Management Engine enables the possibility to manage the inventory of items in a warehouse. The warehouse locations to store items can be generated in bulk to save time, and the location’s capacity and content can be restricted (e.g. single item, single lot). Items can be configured with their corresponding container types and pack configurations. Dimensions of items and containers can be set to determine the available space of inventory locations.

WMS rules offer high flexibility through a large set of building blocks that allow users to compose various scenarios to search for locations where items can be put away, picked and so on. A number of additional preferences (e.g. inventory attributes or QC statuses) can be set to determine which inventory is eligible to put away, relocate, pick, replenish or crossdock. The rules can be easily modified if the logistic needs change in the future. By configuring and assigning work profiles to warehouse employees, an optimal distribution of the resulting tasks can be obtained.

The employees can be identified with their particular privileges, skills and profiles (e.g. to differentiate between a forklift driver and a manual picker) and can be given access via rfid badges. It is possible to define fixed and portable devices to be used in the different warehouse locations.

Additionally, by means of inventory forecasts, expected future stock breaks (emergence of shortages based on the known data) can be identified.
