Lock a lot

Module Product Tracking & Genealogy required.

A lot can be locked because of a production error or complaints about the quality of the lot.

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > Lots in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the lot.
    If the lot has a sublot, this sublot will be locked, and NOT the lot!
  3. Choose the tab General > Inventory Locks > Lock status.
  4. Click Lock .
  5. In the option group Lock Mode, select one of the following options:

    In/Out

    All movements of goods of the lot are blocked.

    For example: When a general stock count of the lot is taking place.

    In

    The lot is blocked for inbound movements.

    In this mode it is impossible to receive, putaway or relocate the lot. Items of the lot can still be picked or used for replenishment.

    For example: The lot no longer meets the standards and cannot be taken into inventory any longer.

    Out

    The lot is blocked for outbound movements.

    In this mode it is no longer possible to pick or replenish items from this lot. It is still possible to receive/putaway or relocate the lot.

    For example: The sublot is no longer usable (spoiled, compromised, unsafe, aged,...).

  6. Choose in the drop-down menu Lock Reason, the lock reason.

    The lock reasons were entered via the Configurator.

    For example: BLOCKED - Lot is blocked.

  7. Where applicable, enter in the field Lock Description an explanation on the lock.
  8. Click Finish.
