Lock a location
A location can be locked so that no items can be picked or added. For example, when a location is temporarily out of order because of a defect that has to be fixed.
- Choose Warehouse Management > Locations in the Navigation Pane.
- Select the location.
- Choose the tab General > Inventory Locks > Lock status.

In the option group Lock Mode, select one of the following options:
Option Explanation In/Out All movements of goods to and from the location are blocked.
For example: When a general stock count is planned for the location.
In The location is blocked for inbound movements.
In this mode it is impossible to receive, putaway or relocate items to this location. Items already present at the location can still be used for picking or replenishment.
For example: To clear the location without executing unnecessary internal movement of inventory.
Out The location is blocked for outbound movements.
In this mode it is no longer possible to pick or replenish items. It is still possible to receive/putaway items in the warehouse.
For example: The inventory at the location is no longer usable (spoiled, compromised, unsafe, aged,...).

Choose in the drop-down menu Lock Reason, the lock reason.
The lock reasons were entered via the Configurator.
For example: BLOCKED - Warehouse is blocked.
- Where applicable, enter in the field Lock Description an explanation on the lock.
- Click Finish.
