Reallocate a backorder line

This action is intended to reallocate shortages of inputs.

Condition: The reallocation can only be used for 'make to orders' (VAL, Kit, delivery Make To Order). If there are shortages of inputs and 'shortages in backorder' is enabled for this input, a backorder line will be created. By reallocating the backorder line you can see if the missing inputs are already available.

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > Backorders in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select one or more backorders.
  3. Choose the tab Backorder Lines.
  4. Select one or more backorder lines.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Reallocate Backorder Line .
    • Right-click the selection and choose Release Shipment in the shortcut menu.
    The dialog box Reallocate Backorder Line Wizard will appear.
  6. The backorder lines with shortages are displayed. Click Finish to start the reallocation.
    The result of the reallocation will be displayed.
  7. Click Finish.
