Add a new recipe

A notification will appear if a recipe already exists for the item.

When defining the recipes, it is possible to set a default batch size. In the event of deviating sizes, the required material quantities will be automatically recalculated. You can also set a minimum and maximum 'batch size', which depends on the machine on which this specific recipe can be produced. Other quantities will have to be produced by other machines.

  1. Choose Recipe Management > Recipes in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click Recipes or My Recipes in the Navigation Pane and choose New Recipe in the shortcut menu.
    • Click New Recipe in the toolbar of the Data Pane.
  3. In the option group Properties of the dialog box Wizard New Recipe, complete the fields below:

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the recipe.

    Description The description of the recipe.

    Item

    (mandatory field)

    This is the item or phantom item that will be made using this recipe.

    Do one of the following:

    • Enter the name of the (phantom) item and press ENTER
    • Click Select Item or press ALT + I, select the item and click Finish.
    • Click Select Phantom Item or press ALT + F, select the phantom item and click Finish.
  4. Complete the fields below in the option group Batch Settings:

    Default Batch Size The default quantity that can be produced via the created recipe variant. In the case of a deviating quantity the required material quantities (inputs) will be automatically recalculated.
    Min Batch Size

    The minimum quantity that can be produced via the created recipe variant. Quantities lower than this number will have to be produced via another recipe variant.

    Max Batch Size The maximum quantity that can be produced via the created recipe variant. Quantities higher than this number will have to be produced via another recipe variant.
  5. Click Finish.
    In the Navigation Pane the recipe will be added with a first variant and a first version in the EDIT status.
  6. Where applicable, add data to the variant.
  7. Add data to the version.
  8. Add operations to the version. See Add an operation to a recipe.
  9. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via icon (Configurator).
