Data collection

For an equipment module, various check points and aspects can be set in so-called tags (1). This may concern measurement of pressure, temperature, time, quantities (counters), speed,... and any connected alarms. These tags are connected to data-capturing devices (PLCs, sensors,...) that read these tags and forward the information to Objective.

In addition to tags the data collection also records the possible interrupt reasons (2) and reject reasons (3) for the machine or work center. There are general reasons, that have been set for the resource type, and there is the option to create machine or work center specific reasons.

Within this context other types of input equipment are defined that are used for the interaction between man, machine and Objective. Examples are PCs, industrial or mobile terminals,...
