Recipes

A recipe defines how an item (output) is produced. A recipe in Objective is a combination of a BOR (Bill of routing) and a BOM (Bill of Material).

Which recipe steps or operations have to be executed to produce an intermediate or end item are specified in the BOR or bill of routing, e.g.:

  • Clean the installation
  • Fill
  • In-line packaging
  • Palletization

The BOM or bill of material defines the required components and quantities to produce the intermediate or end product in question. Such a bill of material is defined per recipe step (operation) in order to combine the outputs of a specific recipe step with the inputs of a next recipe step.

Recipes can be interfaced from ERP via standard interfaces (except instructions or instruction sheets of an operation and specific WIP-OUT container or packaging), and/or created directly in MES.

To configure the recipes, see Configuration.
