Edit a shipment

Depending on the status of the shipment, certain properties of the shipment can be edited.

  1. Choose Outbound Management > Shipments in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select a shipment.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Edit Shipment in the toolbar.
    • Right-click the selection and choose Edit Shipment in the shortcut menu.
  4. In the option group Shipment Info, complete the fields below:

    Description Enter the description of the shipment.
    Expected Check and click to select the date and time of the expected arrival of the shipment.
    Priority

    The higher the priority, the sooner the shipment will be executed.

    Choose in the drop-down menu Priority one of the following values: Very High, High, Normal, Low, Very Low.

  5. Where applicable, in the option group Carrier Info edit the following fields:
    FieldExplanation
    Carrier

    Do one of the following:

    • Enter the name of the carrier and press ENTER.
    • Click Select Carrier , select the carrier and click Finish.
    • Press ALT + R, select the carrier and click Finish.
    Truck No. Enter the truck number (license plate number) of the truck.
  6. Where applicable, in the option group Planning Options change the following fields:

    Planned Arrival Click to select the planned arrival date and time.
    Loading Dock

    Do one of the following:

    • Enter the name of the loading dock and press ENTER.
    • Click Select Loading Dock , select the loading dock and click Finish.
    • Press ALT + L, select the loading dock and click Finish.
  7. Where applicable, in the option group Loading Option, check the option Sequenced Loading. The orders will be loaded in the truck by loading sequence. The lowest loading sequence first.
    Sequenced loading can only be used when adding orders to a shipment. Orders added to a consignment cannot be loaded in sequence! (within the consignment, the sequence of the orders cannot be modified) Consignments can be stopped in sequence.
  8. Do one of the following in the option group Marshaling Locations Info:
    • In the field Marshaling Locations, enter the name of the marshaling location and press ENTER. Repeat to add multiple marshaling locations.
    • Click Select Marshaling Location / Area , select the marshaling location(s) and click Finish.
    • Press ALT + L, select the marshaling location(s) and click Finish.
    In the dialog box Wizard Marshaling Locations / Areas Selection, you can click the locations one by one and view whether the icon appears in the tab Open Orders or Inventory. The icon indicates for example that there are still open orders in the selected marshaling location(s). Click the relevant tab to view the open orders.
    • Use the arrows to set the sequence of the marshaling locations.
    • To remove a marshaling location, select the marshaling location and click Remove Marshaling Location / Area .
  9. Click Finish.
