Add a new general relocation rule

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > Rules > Putaway / Relocation > Relocations in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Choose the tab General Relocation Rule in the Data Pane.
  3. Click Add Rule Block .
    The field Info is completed automatically as the relocation rule is set.
  4. In the option group Any, select if the relocation rule is configured for Items or Reusable Containers.
    If Reusable Containers is selected, only location settings can be added. In that case, go to step 11.
  5. In the option group With Storage Type, select how the item will be received:
    OptionExplanation
    Bulk The item is received in bulk.
    LPN

    The item is received on a logistic carrier.

    Choose Select Container Type, if only items that are received in that type of carrier should follow the relocation rule.

    Top LPN The item is received together with a number of logistic carriers of the same or a different item.
    Any Storage Type No preference for how the item is received.
  6. If you selected LPN or Top LPN in the group field With Content you can set the following:
    OptionExplanation
    Uniform The LPN contains inventory of 1 item with the same inventory properties.
    Mixed

    The LPN contains stock of different items or contains inventory of the same item with different inventory properties.

    Choose one or more of the following options:

    • Multiple Items Allowed
    • Multiple Lots Allowed
    • Multiple Inventory Attributes Allowed
    • Multiple QCs Allowed
    • Multiple BBDs Allowed
  7. In the option group With Inventory Attributes, set the inventory attributes of the item. Individual inventory attributes can be created, see Add inventory attributes, that can be used to create a relocation rule.
  8. In the option group With ABC Classification, check the ABC classification of the item.
    OptionExplanation
    LPN Stock If necessary, check and select from the drop-down menu the ABC classification for items on a full logistic carrier.
    SKU Stock If necessary, check and select from the drop-down menu the ABC classification for items on a less than full logistic carrier.
  9. In the option group With QC Status, check the option QC Status if an item should have a certain QC status. Select the QC status from the drop-down menu.
  10. Where applicable, in the option group With, check the following options:
    OptionExplanation
    Standard LPN Quantity Only items with the default quantity stated in the pack configuration.
    Non Standard LPN Quantity Only items of which the quantity deviates from the default quantity stated in the pack configuration.
  11. In the option group From Location(s) in, select the locations where the item is received:

    Storage Zone

    Warehouse

    Location

    Mobile Rack

    Enter the name of the storage zone, warehouse, location or mobile rack here or use the Select Storage Zone/Warehouse/Location/Mobile Rack button to select the location(s) where the item will be placed after picking.
    Any Warehouse No preference where the item is stored.
  12. Click Putaway / Relocation Scenarios .
  13. Select a scenario in the dialog box Putaway/Relocation Scenarios.
  14. Click OK.
    • The rule block that corresponds the most with the item will be executed first.
    • The sequence of the rule blocks only matters if the rule blocks are of equal value.
    • To change the sequence of the rule blocks: Select the rule block and use the arrows to edit the sequence.
  15. Where applicable, add one or several filters to the relocation rule.
