Rule Groups

If there are no specific rules for the item, the rules of the rule group the item belongs to apply.

The following types of rule groups are provided for in Objective:

• Putaway Groups: the rule groups containing items and putaway rules that determine the putaway of these items
• Relocation Groups: the rule groups that contain items and relocation rules that determine the relocation of these items within the warehouse
• Picking Groups: the rule groups that contain items and pick rules that determine the picking of these items from the warehouse
• Replenish Groups: the rule groups that contain items and replenish rules that determine the replenishment of these items to a pick location, pick zone or LPN buffer
• Crossdock Groups: the rule groups containing items and crossdock rules that determine the crossdocking of these items between locations, work centers, etc.

It is possible to add several rules of each type (putaway, relocation, picking, replenishment, crossdock) to a rule group.

If no rules were configured in the rule groups, the general rules apply.
