Work Zones

The work zones are used as a basis for the system directed operation. By organizing locations into various work zones, management of operators can be determined dependent on preferences set for specific tasks in specific work zones. The organization in work zones also determines the pick lists. Objective will produce a pick list per work zone every time.

Calendars can also be applied to work zones. This functionality is mainly used for PLE purposes.

A location can only be assigned to one work zone!

A task will be found in the work zone that its start location belongs to.
To ensure a good system directed operation and the splitting of pick lists, it is important that all locations from where a task may start are assigned to a work zone. If this is not the case for certain locations, Objective will assign these to the system work zone NONE.
