Add a new QC status
- Choose Item Management > QC Statuses in the Navigation Pane.

Do one of the following:
- Click New QC Status in the toolbar of the Data Pane.
- Right-click QC Statuses in the Navigation Pane and choose New QC Status from the shortcut menu.

Complete the fields below in the option group QC Status of the New QC Status Wizard:
Field Explanation Name
(mandatory field)
The name of the QC status.
For example: QC BLOCKED, QC HOLD, QC INSPECT,...
Description Description of QC status.
For example: All handling options are blocked
ID Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID. -
In the option group Warehouse Options, check the following options, if needed:
- For each QC status you can set what warehouse handling (receipt, putaway, replenishing, repack,...) is allowed ot not.
- For example: for items with a QC status 'QC RELEASED' the warehouse options are set in such a way that all handling may be performed.
- For items with a QC status 'QC BLOCKED' the warehouse handling options are set in such a way that no handling operations can be performed.
- For items with a QC status 'QC HOLD' the warehouse options are set in such a way that you can only receive or put away, but not pick.
Option Remarks Receipt Allowed NA Replenishment Allowed NA Marshal Allowed NA Putaway Allowed NA Order Picking Allowed NA Shipping Allowed NA Allocation Allowed NA Repack Allowed NA Moving Allowed Moving of inventory is allowed/not allowed. - Moving Tasks cannot be created for inventories with a QC status.
- Movement between different locations is restricted e.g., from Location A to B. Still, movement is allowed within a location for e.g., from Location A to an LPN on Location A.
- If QC status changes during a move task, an error will occur.

In the option group Production Options, check the following options, if needed:
For each QC status you can set what warehouse handling (receipt, putaway, replenishing, repacking etc.) is allowed or not.
Option Remarks Production Picking Allowed NA Reworkable This setting determines to which QC statuses reworked inventory can be adjusted for a specific reject reason. Reworkable and Rejectable cannot be checked both together. See also Add a new reject reason. Consumption Allowed Backflush will always be allowed, even if the option Consumption Allowed is not checked. Rejectable This setting determines to which QC statuses rejected inventory can be adjusted for a specific reject reason. Reworkable and Rejectable cannot be checked both together. See also Add a new reject reason. - Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
