The location identification is used if the location is scanned ‘out of the blue’, e.g.
for an ad hoc relocation of inventory. The default setting is that the full name of the
location needs to be entered (e.g., 100.A.02.X.3). There is no option to enable or
disable this. In the option group Location Identification, check
the following fields as required:
- Location identification via LPN enabled: It is allowed to identify a location based on the scanning of an LPN that is on this location. This can be useful if the location label is covered by an LPN. The system knows which LPNs are at which locations, so LPN scanning, in this case, is equivalent to location scanning.
- Checkdigit enabled: Checkdigit can be entered to identify the location, e.g., 3 (condition is that the checkdigits need to be unique per location). It is still possible to enter the fullname of the location as well.
- Checkdigit barcode required: When checkdigit is enabled, it needs to be entered as a barcode, e.g., ]C03.
- Fullname barcode required: If fullname needs to be entered, you must enter it as a barcode (e.g., ]C0100.A.02.X.3).
- LPN barcode required: If location identification by LPN is enabled, the LPN needs to be entered as a barcode.
- Multiplexed location barcode: It's a barcode that includes both the location and checkdigit. When enabled, entering both the Location identifier (@L) and the Checkdigit identifier (@L) is required, e.g.,][email protected]@C007. The Field separator is an optional element that separates two inputs.
-
Location verification is used if the operator is sent to a location by the system, to
confirm he is at the right location. The default setting is that the checkdigit needs to
be entered (e.g., 3). There is no option to enable or disable this. In the option
group Location Verification, check the following fields as required
to determine to what extent the bar code needs to be scanned:
- Fullname verification enabled: Fullname can be entered to verify the location e.g., 100.A.02.X.3. It is still possible to enter the checkdigit as well to verify the location.
- Checkdigit barcode required: If checkdigit needs to be entered, you must enter it as a barcode (e.g., ]C03). The condition is here that the checkdigits need to be unique.
- Fullname barcode required: When fullname is enabled, it needs to be entered as a barcode (e.g., ]C0100.A.02.X.3)

- Enabled: Ensures that Lot information is not displayed in RF Dialogs.
- Disabled: Lot information will be displayed in RF Dialogs.
- Never show Best Before: This setting can only be configured
to appear if Lot information is displayed.

- Disabled: Allows the display of Best Before information in RF Dialog.
- Never show Lot: This option is advantageous when Lot-based
items are not integrated into the system setup.
