Freeze an operation

To ensure that the operation can no longer be moved in terms of time and to prevent it from being executed on another resource, the operation must be frozen as follows:
  1. Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the planning cell.
  3. Choose the tab Planning.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Select a machine or work center in the column Resource, select the operation in the sub tab Planning and click Freeze in the toolbar of the sub tab Planning.
    • Select a machine or work center in the column Resource, right-click the downtime in the sub tab Planning and choose Freeze in the shortcut menu.
    • Right-click the planned downtime in the Gantt diagram and choose Freeze in the shortcut menu.
    The operation can no longer be moved. An indicator icon appears in front of the operation in the Gantt diagram. The indicator icon display depends on the user settings. See Show/hide the indicator icons.
    An operation on an external work center will be automatically frozen when released.
