Keyboard Shortcuts

The following table provides an overview of the most important actions and keyboard shortcuts for the selection and entering of data.

Action / keyboard shortcut Explanation
Click
  • In an input field: select/activate the input field for entering data (if editable)
  • In a drop-down menu: open the drop-down menu.
  • On a button: activate the button function.
Double click
  • On an element (for example Employees): the element is expanded or collapsed.
  • On a datum in a data list: the details of the datum are shown.
Click 3 x In an input field: select all the text in the input field.
Ctrl In a data list, hold down Ctrl to select several separate data from the data list.
Ctrl + A
  • In an input field: select all the text in the input field.
  • In a data list: select all the elements in the data list.
Ctrl + C Copy the contents of the selected field to the clipboard.
Ctrl + S Save. (Save)
Ctrl + V Paste the contents of the clipboard in the selected field.
Ctrl + X Cut and paste the contents of the selected field onto the clipboard.
Alt + B Step back in a wizard.
Alt + C Cancel the wizard.
Alt + F Finish the wizard.
Alt + I Select item.
Alt + O Select Operation.
Alt + P Select Pick Area.
Alt + Arrow-left Go back to the previously selected element in the Navigation Pane.
Alt + Arrow-right Continue to the next selected element in the Navigation Pane.
Alt + X Next step in a wizard.
Shift In a data list: hold the Shift key down to select multiple subsequent data by clicking the first and last datum.
F5 Refresh the data of the current table.
