Add a new parameter configuration

  1. Choose Production Management > Parameter Configurations in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Click New Parameter Configuration in the Data Pane.
  3. Make a choice between the following fields in the option group Parameter Definitions:

    Parameter Definition

    Do one of the following:

    • In Parameter Definition, enter the name of the desired parameter definition and press Enter.
    • Click Select Parameter Definition , select the parameter definition and click Finish.
    • Press ALT + P, select the parameter definition and click Finish.
    Group / Subgroup It is possible to filter out parameter definitions on the basis of groups and/or subgroups. Select the desired (sub-)groups via the drop-down menus Group / Subgroup. Where applicable, use the buttons Check All , Uncheck All , Check Selection , Uncheck Selection .
  4. Click Next.
  5. If necessary, set the following criteria:
    Option GroupExplanation

    Item

    Choose one of the following options:
    • All: The parameter configuration is applicable for all items.
    • Item: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain item or phantom item.

      Do one of the following:

      • Enter the name of the (phantom) item and press ENTER.
      • Click Select Item or press ALT + I, select the item and click Finish.
      • Click Select Phantom Item or press ALT + F, select the phantom item and click Finish.
    • Others: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain item group and/or a dynamic item field.
      • To select an item group, check Item Group. Enter the name of the item group, click Select Item Group or press ALT + G to select an item group.
      • To enter a value for the dynamic item field, check this field (name as set in the Parameter Options within System Management), and enter the desired value.
    Resource Choose one of the following options:
    • All: The parameter configuration is applicable for all resources.
    • Resource: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain machine or work center.

      Do one of the following:

      • Enter the name of the resource.
      • Click Select Resource , make a selection and click Finish.
      • Press ALT + R, make a selection and click Finish.
    • Resource Type: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain resource type.

      Do one of the following:

      • Enter the name of the resource type.
      • Click Select Resource Type , make a selection and click Finish.
    Operation Choose one of the following options:
    • All: The parameter configuration is applicable for all operations.
    • Operation: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain operation.

      Do one of the following:

      • Enter the name of the operation.
      • Click Select Operation , make a selection and click Finish.
      • Press ALT + O, make a selection and click Finish.
    Recipe Choose one of the following options:
    • All: The parameter configuration is applicable for all recipe versions.
    • Recipe: The parameter configuration is applicable for a certain recipe version.

      Do one of the following:

      • Enter the name of the recipe version.
      • Click Select Recipe Version , make a selection and click Finish.
    It is not possible to continue the procedure if necessary fields are not (correctly) entered, or if the parameter configuration is not unique for the relevant parameter definition. If necessary, solve the problems indicated at the bottom of the dialog box.
  6. Click Next.
  7. The standard values of the parameter configurations can be set here. The values which are in red in the table have no correct setting yet. Depending on the set data types (see Add a new parameter definition), the desired values can be entered in the following way:

    Number

    A numerical standard value can be entered, and possibly upper and lower limits.
    • Enter the standard value under the option group Number Settings.
    • Max corresponds with the following values:
      • Setup instruction: maximum target limit
      • Data collection instruction: upper warning limit
      • Measurement instruction: upper control limit
    • Min corresponds with the following values:
      • Setup instruction: minimum target limit
      • Data collection instruction: lower warning limit
      • Measurement instruction: lower control limit
    • MaxMax corresponds with the following values:
      • Data collection instruction: upper error limit
      • Measurement instruction: upper specification limit
    • MinMin corresponds with the following values:
      • Data collection instruction: lower error limit
      • Measurement instruction: lower specification limit
    Text A free text can be entered as standard value.
    Flag A checked field or an unchecked field can be set as standard value.
    Date A date and possibly an hour can be set as standard value.
  8. If all values are entered correctly, click Finish.
  9. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via icon (Configurator).
