Setup instruction

If supported by the machine and/or PLC, it possible to load certain settings of the machine automatically upon starting a production task.

You add a setup instruction to an operation to have the operator process a setup on a machine or work center.

  • Numeric Setup Instruction: Such an instruction typically has a target value and a min and max value. For each instruction it is specified in advance whether the operator is allowed to adjust the value. If so, the value can be adapted within the given range.

For example: A setup instruction to set the injection pressure of a machine at 125 bar.

  • Text Setup Instruction: It is also possible to have a text sent to the machine during setup.

For example: A setup instruction using the production order ID.
