Plan downtime

  1. Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the planning cell.
  3. Choose the tab Planning.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Select a machine or work center in the column Resource and click Plan Downtime in the toolbar of the sub tab Planning.
    • Right-click the correct spot in the Gantt diagram and choose Plan Downtime in the shortcut menu.
  5. In the option group Settings of the dialog box Wizard Plan Downtime, complete or edit the following fields:

    Planned Start

    (mandatory)

    Click and select the start date and time of the downtime.

    Planned Stop

    (mandatory)

    Click and select the stop date and time of the downtime.

    Interrupt Reason

    (mandatory)

    Select in the drop-down menu an interrupt reason and click OK.
  6. Where applicable, in the field Description, add extra information on the downtime.
  7. If personnel is needed during the downtime, choose the tab Required Personnel.
  8. Click Manage Skills .
  9. Select one or more skills from the option group Available.
  10. Click the single arrow to add skills to the option group Selected.
    • To add one skill, double-click the skill.
    • To add all skills, click the double arrow .
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Finish.
  13. The dialog box Plan Downtime may appear if the downtime cannot be planned. Read the error message carefully, click Details to display more information, then click Close.
