Move an operation to another resource

An operation can also be moved to another resource via drag and drop. See Move an operation via drag & drop.

1. Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.
2. Select the planning cell.
3. Choose the tab Planning.
4. Select a machine or work center in the column Resource.
5. Select one or more operations in the sub tab Planning.
6. Do one of the following:
   • Click Move to Resource in the toolbar.
   • Right-click the selection and choose Move to Resource in the shortcut menu.
7. Select the resource to where the operation must be moved.
8. Click Next.
9. Choose in the option group Move Selection one of the following options:

   Option	Explanation
   Position	Select where the operation must be placed. To do so, select Before or After in the drop-down menu and then select the sequence.
   Date	Select the date and adjust the time, where applicable, to which the selection should be moved.
   Shift	Select the date and adjust the shift, where applicable, to which the selection should be moved.

10. Click Finish.
11. The dialog box Move to Resource may appear if the operation cannot be moved. Read the error message carefully, click Details to display more information, then click Close.
