Configuration

Configure the Uoms & Dimensions (1) prior to the configuration of the items.

Go through the following steps to configure an item:

• Add a new item.
• You can add other Uoms in addition to the default Uom. Uoms of an item can also be edited.
• The dimensions (measurements, volume, mass, cubics) of an item can be set. These dimensions can be used as a basis to calculate the dimensions of a uniform LPN of the item with a certain pack configuration.

  For example, the weight of a uniform LPN is determined by the weight of the individual base units and the weight of the carrier (pallet) on which the goods are stocked.

  The result of this calculation can be used in the putaway rules so that the LPN dimensions can be taken into consideration when looking for a suitable location. (module Warehouse Management Engine)

  For example: locations with a maximum weight limit smaller than the LPN to be put away, are not taken into consideration.

• It is possible to add documents (documentation, image of the item,...) to an item.
• If certain properties are identical for several items, these can be modified in one action. See Edit properties of multiple items at a time.
• Items can optionally be grouped in one or several item groups to facilitate the configuration.
