Departments

A department is a physical location in a company. A department can consist of different sub-departments. Departments are placed in a hierarchical structure.

For example: A company can consist of the following 3 departments: bottling, brewing and injection molding. The bottling department consists of 2 sub-departments: Bottling line and Rework Center.

Resource views, which can give an overview of the running activities and actual KPIs on the work floor, can be configured on department level. The departments can serve as grouping for all sorts of reports and/or analyzes. For example, it is possible to query the OEE numbers of an entire department (module OEE required).

Through a hierarchical subdivision in departments reports can be retrieved from a higher level and the configuration can be performed at a group level. Since the arrangement depth is theoretically unlimited, it is also strongly recommended to create sufficiently deep levels so as to be able to obtain all the necessary report levels in the future.
