Edit a Uom of an item

  • The Uom of an item can only be adjusted if there is no stock of the item in this Uom.
  • For the default Uom, only the precision can be edited.
  1. Choose Item Management > Items in the Navigation Pane. Select the item.
  2. Choose vertical tab General > sub tab Uoms.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Choose the Uom and click on Edit Uom in the toolbar.
    • Right-click the Uom and choose Edit Uom in the shortcut menu.
  4. If needed, edit the below fields:
    FieldMeaning
    From Uom Uom to be converted.
    To Uom The Uom to which conversion takes place.
    Factor The value by which the Uom should be multiplied for conversion to the new Uom.
    Offset The value that needs to be added to the Uom in order to convert to the new Uom.
    Precision The number of digits after the decimal point to which the Uom should be rounded. A negative value means rounding to multiples of tens (-1), hundreds (-2),...
  5. Check the entered value using the Conversion example. Conversion example = (Quantity x Factor) + Offset
  6. Click Finish.
