Add a new schedule

  1. Choose System Management > Schedules in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click Schedules in the Navigation Pane and choose New Schedule in the shortcut menu.
    • Click New Schedule in the toolbar of the tab Schedules.
  3. In the option group General of the dialog box Wizard New Schedule, complete the fields below:

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the schedule.

    For example: Auto Logout

    Description

    The description of the schedule.

    For example: Automatic logout of operators at the end of the shift.

    Command

    Select from the drop-down menu the command that Objective has to execute.

    The list contains a number of general commands and commands that are grouped by domain (MES, WMS, WFM and CRP).

    Parameter 3

    One or more parameters can be used for each command.

    For example: For the command Automatic Close Visitor Access, parameter 1 is used to set a delay of 24 hours, for example.

    Enabled Check this option to enable the schedule. An enabled schedule uses the set time for execution.
    The user interface does not display which parameters are set for the command. The parameters are set by Objective in consultation with the customer.
  4. From the option group Run, choose one of the following options:
    OptionExplanation
    Once

    The command is executed once. Enter the date and time in the option group Start at for execution of the command.

    For example: Remove upload history in the Supervisor.

    Interval

    The command is executed at set intervals. In the option group Run every Set the interval in hours, minutes and seconds.

    Exceptions (for not executing the command) can be clicked in the schedule. Where applicable, you can click the headers of the columns or rows to select the hours or days quicker.

    For example: Check every 10 minutes for new production orders in the ERP system.

    Hourly

    The command will be executed hourly. Set how many minutes after the hour the command must start in the option group Start at.

    Exceptions (for not executing the command) can be clicked in the schedule.

    For example: Check every hour for new production orders in the ERP system.

    Daily

    The command is executed daily. Set the time in the option group Start at for daily execution of the command.

    For example: Validate days daily, approve processed days.

    Weekly

    The command is executed weekly. Set the time and days of the week in the option group Start at for execution of the command.

    For example: Remove history of the past working week during the weekend.

    Monthly

    The command is executed monthly. Set the time and day of the month in the option group Start at for execution of the command.

    For example: Monthly closure for the payroll calculation.

    Yearly

    The command is executed yearly. Set the date and time in the option group Start at for yearly execution of the command.

    For example: Check holidays taken by employees.

    Shift Based

    The command is executed after the start of the shift. Set the hours and minutes after the start of the shift in the option group Start at for execution of the command. Click and select the shift after which the command should start.

    For example: After the start of each late shift, a report must be generated.

    All Shifts

    The command is executed after the start of each shift. Set the hours and minutes after the start of each shift in the option group Start at for execution of the command.

    For example: 10 minutes after the start of each shift, employee absences must be printed.

  5. Click Finish.
    Objective can add program commands to the specifications of the customer.
