Enable LDAP Authentication

When LDAP authentication is enabled, the Windows Active Directory is used to authenticate the sign-on password for Objective.

Provided that the user account in Objective is also configured for System Authentication.
  1. Choose System Management > General Settings > Authentification Settings in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Choose Configuration > Authentication Settings in the Data Pane.
  3. Check the option Enable LDAP Authentication in the option group User Authentication.
  4. Enter the data below:

    Primary LDAP Server

    Name of the server.

    Check with your system administrator.

    Port

    389 is the default LDAP server port.

    If required, click Test Primary Server to review the settings.

    Secondary LDAP Server

    Name of the server.

    Check with your system administrator.

    Port

    389 is the default LDAP server port.

    If required, click Test Secondary Server to review the settings.

    User Name Prefix

    Domain name, followed by \

    For example: MYDOMAIN\

    Contact your system administrator to enter this data correctly.
