New Yard Location

  1. Choose Dock & Yard Management > Yards in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select a Yard.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click on the yard in the Navigation Pane and choose New Yard Location from the shortcut menu.
    • Click New Yard Location in the toolbar of the Data Pane.
  4. Complete the fields below in the group Yard Location of the dialog box New Yard Location Wizard:

    Field

    Explanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the yard.

    ID

    Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID.

    Description

    Description of the yard.

    Category

    Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual category.

    Type
    You can choose from the below options:
    • Dock: Click to choose the desired loading area.
    • Gate: Choose one of the following options: Check-In, Check-Out, Both, or None.
    • Park
  5. Click Finish.
    If a Loading Dock is already linked to a Location, an error message can be seen in the Yard Location dialog box.
