Configuration
Go through the following steps to configure a hot-wired WIP-IN:
- Set locations as hot-wired WIP-IN locations. See Set a location as hot-wired WIP-IN location. It can also be set here if the LPN on the hot-wired WIP-IN location must be automatically consumed when the next LPN arrives.
- These locations need to be set with the handling options Keep LPN Integrity and Bounded Location. See Add handling options to a location (without underlying locations).
- Set the space Utilization of the location to 1 cubic. See Add space to a location.
- Add the correctly set locations to the machine or work center. See Add a WIP-IN location to a machine or work center.
- Set the replenish level of the item if working with automatic registrations or backflush. See Set the replenishment of an item in a hot-wired WIP-IN.
- In System Management, configure the possibility for multiple resources to consume from the same hot-wired WIP-IN locations. See Set the consumption of inventory picked for other orders.
- Ensure that the option Use WIP-IN inventory at input registration is checked at the WIP handling of the input. See Set WIP-IN inventory of an input.
- In the MES Operator Client, a specific action is available on the resource view if working with manual registrations. It is possible via this action to trigger the supply of a new LPN.
