Add space to a location

  1. Select the location in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Choose the tab Location > Space.
  3. In the option group Space Utilization in the drop-down menu Space Unit, make a choice between the following options:
    • Width, Depth, Height, Volume: to set under the tab Dimensions, see Add dimensions to a location.

The set dimension in (cubic) meters will be copied in the field Max Available Cubics. This is the dimension that will be relevant to determine the space utilization of the location.

    • Cubics; virtual space unit, to set in the following step.
  4. In the option group Cubics, check the field Max Available Cubics and enter a value.
To set the location as hot-wired WIP-IN location, the space unit has to be set to Cubics and the value to 1. That way, it is ensured there is only space for 1 LPN on the location.
  5. Optionally, cubics settings can be specified according to the container type.

This setting can be used if the location has a different number of available cubics for certain container types.

    1 LPN = 1 cubic

The location can provide space for 10 LPNs of the type CHEP, but only 8 LPNs of the type EUR.

This setting can only be used if one and the same container type is used in the relevant location, and if the virtual space unit cubics has been set.

For this configuration, proceed to the following step.

  6. Click Add Detailed Cubics Setting in the option group Detailed Cubics Settings.
  7. Click Select Container Type .
  8. Select the container type.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Enter the Maximum Available Cubics and press ENTER.
  11. Click Finish.

To edit the maximum available cubics of the container type, select the container type and click Edit Detailed Cubics Setting .

The container type cannot be edited. To edit the container type, you must remove the container type first and add a new container type.
