Edit Input consumption

This functionality enables the user to rectify or edit input consumptions for LPN and bulk items used in production. Suppose the LPN or bulk items are no longer available or has been moved. In that case, the system allows for the recreation of the inventory.
  • Users can edit input consumptions only for inventories that are part of the Bill of Material (BOM).
  • This functionality applies to operation cycles that are complete but the order is still active. Users can edit input consumptions for active operation cycles via the Operator client.
  1. Select the job for which you want to Edit Input Consumption.
  2. Choose the tab WIP In.
  3. At the bottom of the tab, choose Details.
  4. Select the input line that requires correction in the consumption.
  5. Click Edit Input in the toolbar.
  6. In the option group Quantity, complete the following fields:

    Original Consumed Users can't edit this field; it displays the original value entered.
    Corrected Consumed

    Enter the actual value of inventory consumed during the process.

  7. In the option group Inventory, complete the following fields:
    FieldExplanation
    Inventory Adjustments
    Check to update the available quantity of the inventory.
    When disabled, any changes in the quantity of input consumption will apply exclusively to this production order and will not affect the inventory as a whole.
    Location
    • When the inventory is completely consumed and no longer exists in its original location and the system recreates it. This recreated inventory is typically placed at a predefined default correction location, but the supervisor can change this location.
    • Correction Location: Serves as a temporary holding area for the material.
    • To change location, click Select Location or press Alt + L, select a location from the list, and click Finish.
    Original Available Users can't edit this field; it displays the original inventory quantity available.
    Corrected Available The system automatically calculates the available quantity of inventory based on the value entered in the filed Corrected Consumed, or users can enter this value manually.
    The system automatically calculates the value of Corrected Consumed when Corrected Available is entered manually and vice versa.
  8. Click Finish.
