Interrupt Reasons

An interrupt reason (e.g. defective fuse, water leakage, insufficient inventory) can be entered by the operator for a machine or work center when an interruption of the work process occurs. There are general interrupt reasons that can be applied to most machines and work centers, and there are specific interrupt reasons that are specific to a machine, work center or equipment module.

These causes / reasons are configured in Objective MES based on the historic experience of the company. But the operators can also enter causes that have been unknown up to that point via their resource view.

The interrupt reasons are grouped in interrupt reason groups (e.g. electric timeouts, material timeout, timeout due to maintenance).

The general interrupt reasons are set in Objective, in the element Interrupt Reasons. After that the interrupt reasons can be added to the machine or work center. The specific interrupt reasons are created in Objective at the machine or the work center itself.
