Add a new department to a department

  1. Choose Resource Management > Departments > My Departments in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Right-click a department in the Navigation Pane and choose New Department from the shortcut menu.
  3. In Wizard New Department, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the department.

    Description The description of the department.
    Type Choose ENTERPRISE, SITE, AREA, PROCESS CELL.
    Category Enter a category to which the department belongs, at your discretion.
  4. Click Finish.
  5. Where applicable, add employees. See Add an employee to a department (using Departments).
  6. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
