System Management

System Management in the Supervisor allows you to check the uploads and downloads and view general system events.

There are 3 elements within System Management:

  • Downloads
  • Uploads
  • System Events

System Management is used to:

  • View the downloads from another system to Objective.
  • View the uploads from Objective to another system.
  • View system events, for example, when a number sequence generates a warning, error or overflow.

Upon implementation of Objective data is automatically transferred from the client's system (for example: ERP system, database, Excel,...) to Objective and vice versa. Transfer is usually done in a CSV or XML file format.

Example: Production orders are imported from the ERP system into Objective. The production orders are further processed in Objective. Upon achieving the end status, the required information is sent back to the client's ERP system. In the case of production orders, this upload consists of 3 sub transactions:

  • A transaction where the data of the production order is transferred.
  • A transaction where the information of the consumption items is transferred.
  • A transaction where the information of the produced items is transferred.

During implementation of Objective, System Management is also used to test the connection between Objective and the client's system (and vice versa). It is, therefore, also possible to import data manually. The supervisor can review whether all transactions were completed without errors in the module System Management.
