CRP rules

The rules for Capacity Management are used to validate the planning. They ensure that certain criteria are met, and if not, an anomaly reason (info, warning, error) will be displayed.

The Supervisor processes the rules during planning.

A rule configuration consist of a list of preconfigured rule blocks for which the properties can be edited.

You can add the same rule multiple times, but use different properties. In this case: Change the default description to clarify rule processing.

There are:

  • requirement rules (general or specific):

rules which check if not too much human capacity is assigned in the planning. On exceeding the requirements an anomaly reason (info, warning or error) will be generated in the planning.

  • availability rules (general or specific):

rules which check if the availability of the employee is not exceeded by scheduling the employee. On exceeding availability an anomaly reason (info, warning or error) will be generated in the planning.

  • assignment rules (general or specific):

rules which check if the assigned employees have the necessary skills to carry out the planned work. If employees do not posses the required skills an anomaly reason (info, warning or error) will be generated in the planning.

A general rule is always applicable to all planning cells and/or employees, while a specific rule is applicable to one or several specific planning cells or employees.
