Add a new planning cell

  1. Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Do one of the following to add a planning cell:
    • Right-click Planning Cells or My Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane and choose New Planning Cell in the shortcut menu.
    • Click New Planning Cell in the toolbar of the Data Pane.
  3. In the option group Properties of Wizard New Planning Cell, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the planning cell.

    Description The description of the planning cell.
    Cost Center Enter the cost center or click Select Cost Center to allocate a cost center to the planning cell.
  4. Do one of the following in the option group Cost Center:
    • In the field Cost Center, enter the name of the cost center.
    • Click Select Cost Center , select a cost center and click OK.
  5. Click Finish.
    The properties of a planning cell can still be modified afterward via the vertical tab General > sub tab Properties.
  6. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
