Operation phases

Phases can be considered as subdivisions of an operation. Phases are characterized by a collection of parameters that need to be configured / performed / captured / ... at the same moment during a certain part of production.

Multiple phases can be executed sequentially.

For example: the operation ‘Mixing Dough’ happens in multiple steps. 1 step (≈phase) could be to rotate the bar counterclockwise at a speed of 60 rotations/minute for 5 minutes. The bold words/numbers are the parameter values that will need to be fulfilled during that phase.

Working with phases allows to reduce the complexity of extensive operations. The different actions within an operation become smaller and clearer, and will therefore run more efficiently.
